Why this site exists
WhyTheBlockchain is a learning project created by Yacine Salah. Its purpose is to make blockchain concepts easier to understand through definitions, examples and short guides. All content is free and can be read without an account.
How to read our guides
Each guide starts with a short answer, then explains the topic and links to supporting documentation. Technical sources are listed at the end so you can check the details and go further. Examples simplify a system; they do not describe every network or situation.
Two languages, the same topics
French and English versions have separate addresses. The FR / EN links take you to the corresponding page. External sources may be available only in English. Technical terms sometimes keep their English name, with a definition in the glossary.
Funding and affiliate links
